DATE RELEASED                 :           2016

There is no doubt that Craig David is more than following his intuition, in fact, you can say that he is following his instincts more in this album.  It is quite fortunate of him that the sound and vibe he created six years ago became “en vogue” today by virtue of music coming from Diplo, Justin Beiber, Jack U, and other current EDM and dance artist.

What he offers in this album is a mixture of the old and new.  You have songs that sound like a track from a Justin Beiber album and songs that remind you of his past hits 6 years ago like “7 Days,” “Hot Stuff,” “Fill Me In,” “Walking Awy,” and “Don’t Love You No More(I’m Sorry).” In other words, there is that usual club bangers, ready to dance music, and heart wrenching ballads.

Is there a problem with this album? Only if you believe that his music remained stagnant.  But what can you do when his stuff is still relevant up to these days.  After listening to the whole album, you can conclude that it is great that he’s back with the usual great songs.  You will not get bored listening to all of the songs as they do not sound dated.

Best tracks in this album are “Louder Than Words” which is drum based ballad. While it is the usual actions speak louder than words, it is the musical structure that makes the song very interesting. “Better With You” is a song that could have been sung by Justin Timberlake or Joe Jonas but the voice of Craig David spells the difference; he is more emphatic vocally. In “No Holding Back,” he is having fun with a track that sums up everything he did before sonically and musically.
