##########################################################################

This album was the last one under the name of Aztec Camera as after this, the band chose to use the name of Roddy Frame as band name.  This album took of where its 1993 album Dreamland left in terms of musicality. It continued to be low key. In fact, it was so low keyed that many fans were not aware of this record which is quite a pity as this is as good as their 1991 album called Stray.

If this band did not appear during the New Wave era, they could have landed as one of the best alternative rock band during the nineties.  Aztec Camera is known for variety of themes on their records. They could be political like in “Good Morning Britain.” They can also do bubblegum pop like in “Somewhere In My Heart.”  They can do psychedelic to with tunes like “Black Lucia.”

In this album, the musical elements that they are skilled at like good music and conversational type of lyrics.  Of course, the melancholic voice of Roddy Frame made this album very satisfactory.  Good tracks in this album are “Beautiful Girl,””Sun,” “Rainy Season,” “Phenomenal World,” “Crazy,” and “Sunset.” This is one albums where low key is not synonymous to being boring.  Thus, I rate this record 4 stars out of 5 stars.
