ALBUM : MAJOR KEY
ARTIST : DJ KHALED
GENRE : HIP / EDM
DATE RELEASED : 2016
Musically, there is nothing new in this album. Like just with any other hip hop records, this one is loaded with samples, sounds and tunes that were exploited as far as back in the 90’s. However, the vibe album is one that you can play on house party, thus one does not need to bring on as many records as possible as this one played on the player with good quality speakers will solve music for your house party.

This could be due to the all-star cast of the record. You have Drake, Ja-z, Nas, Nicky Minaj, J Cole, Big Sean, Chris Brown, Li’l Wayne, and many others. The list is virtually a Who’s Who of hip hop. While this album may not be a huge contender for albums of the year, it is probably the best DJ Khaled records so far.

The best tracks in here are “For Free” by Drake which is quite bouncy, “Holy Key” has a seductive beat despite the seriousness of the lyrics which tells about commercialism of the rap industry where rap artists became endorser of products instead of ideas. “Ima Be Alright” is like a Coolio track in terms of music but lyrically it ain’t. “Do You Mind” will make you think of Bone Thug Harmony tracks. “Tourist” is like a mash-up of different hip-hop styles.
Because it is an all –start cast album that is good for house party, then this record deserve a 3.5 stars rating.
