This British performer has decided to mature perhaps this decision is still a part of her moving on process due to death of her husband in 2008.  Indeed, there are people whose grieving process takes so long to undo.  In her case, this singer decided to venture into the unknown and produce this astounding record.  In this album, you could say that this is what Bjork sound when the Icelandic singer decided to go mainstream pop again.

The album is pure audio bliss in songs like “Been To The Moon” which is so jazzy and makes you want to play “Clouds Across The Moon’ by Rah Band. In “Tell Me,” she was able to create a world music type of track where you can feel then natives calling you to gather with them.  The infusion of finger snapping as a musical background created a very sexy and teasing music in “Horse Print Dress.” The music has to be sexy so that it will fit to lyrics like;

I wear my horse print dress
And though my hair’s still wet
You kiss me on my neck
I haven’t told anybody yet.

In “Caramel,” she did not only sounded like Bjork and Cyndi Lauper combined, she really exploited acoustic and vocal only combination in some parts of the song to create a very somber song when you have lyrics like this;

It tastes like caramel
After all this bitterness
Delicious as caramel.

Of course, there are still that kind of songs which made her famous. Thus, you have “Stop Where You Are” where guitar plucking initiates the track and then a banging drum ensues in the middle so that the song will end up like an inspirational song.  The music has to be arranged that way considering that the lyrics is so Hallmark greeting card wording such as;

Life’s shining around you
Don’t miss a day
If you’re caught up in the chase
You hold your happiness away from you.

Corrine did not disappoint in this new album of hers, instead she was able to create an album where loyal fans will crave for more music from her.  For non-fans, you will be delighted to listen to the album because of pure artistry where  music and lyrics really matters.  With that, I rate this record 4 stars out of 5 stars.
