This album cemented and proved once and for all that David Sting is not only one third of the British Band The Police but he is the driving factor.  In this record, it became glaring that he is the more talented from among the three talented artist in this one of the most iconic eighties group.  Listening to the whole album is like realizing perfection.  Everything in here is perfect from music to lyrics and made even perfect with his passionate vocal performance.

The only fly in the ointment in this record is the song “Well Be Together.” It is the most dated song in this record and when you listen to it anytime, it is not hard for you to guess that this is an 80’s song.  However, even with this song, the whole album is still a work of genius.  Up to this time, “Fragile” is still very liquid in terms of music. “Englishman In New York” is a lyrical genius.  “They Danced Alone” can still break your heart even without seeing the music video.  “Straight To My Heart” can still make you shimmy two decades after.  “Be Still My Beating Heart” can still impress listeners with its chord progression and musical structure.

This album indeed deserve to rank up there in the list of top albums of all time as it deserves a 4.5 stars rating decades after.
