SONG TITLE                          :        HELLO

ARTIST                                   :        ADELE

GENRE                                    :        POP

DATE RELEASED                   :        2015

Adele’s next album is highly anticipated considering all the critical and commercial success it generated as years go by.  It is expected that this new record of hers will be break records.  Now, here comes the first single from her supposed “25” album.  Fans and non-fans expect a good lead single from this album.  So, how is this first single?

It has all the ingredients of another huge hit single from her; powerful vocals, ballad tempo, narrative lyrics, and simple video.  However, that is just what it is all about.  There is nothing great about this single and I believe this is another overrated single.  If this track were done by another artist, this will not receive huge attention like Adele did.  Because it is highly anticipated, people will be biased and conclude that this a good record when in fact this is just another standard ditty from her.

I was expecting a more powerful single where you can really feel her vocal sincerity as listening to this whole track is like listening to a voice lesson.  She  just merely showed how powerful her voice is and that’s just it .  This is the kind of hit song where in the long run it will not become classic.  The first week of release of this song will be great but it will not last long the way “Uptown Funk” and other 2015 hits; this is my prediction.

With that I rate this single from Adele 3.0 stars out of 5 stars.

Ratings Description:

1 star = Ignore it

2 stars= risk it

3 stars = borrow or buy it

4 stars = buy it and keep it

5 = buy, keep, and treasure it
