Listeners would be delighted that they are not actually wasting their time when they buy, download, and listen to this record.  The moment they hear first stanza of the first song “Hurricane,” they will become curious as to the rest of the tracks as this song is surprisingly engaging even if there is this feeling that you heard this type of rock song before.  Other engaging tracks in this record are as follows

  • Flight is the kind of song that you want to dance with your lover very slowly and seductively.
  • Runaway is one track that you will never expect to find its way in this record as it is the kind of song that most boy bands would want to have in this record. Yes, Lifehouse can have another job as a boy band if their fans will no longer like them as a rock band.
  • One For The Pain reminds you of the seventies band TOTO back when they were making great music then specifically during Toto IV era.
  • Wish is an acoustic song and if only radio will give them the chance, this song will probably become huge hit like what Jason Mraz did with “I’m Yours.”
  • Stardust is candidly very eighties in terms of sounds and vibe. It will remind you of Aztec Camera, Level 42, Nick Kershaw, and among others.
  • Alien and Central Park are very nineties and you will really miss the grunge days after listening to this track. Very easy to listen like most alternative rock tracks in that era.
  • Hurt This Way is one track that even country music fans will really devour with pleasure.

With eight engaging songs in this album, Lifehouse indeed has given fans and non-fans reasons why they should stay in the business.  I rate this record 3.5 stars out of five stars.
