ALBUM REVIEW : BREATHE IN BREATHE OUT
ARTIST : HILARY DUFF
GENRE : POP
DATE RELEASED : 2015
When you are out of the limelight for several years, there is a tendency to recover lost glory by clinging on to the past. In the case of Hillary Duff, that tendency is present however she raised up the ante by doing the same kind of songs and polished it with good musical production. As a result you have an album that is pure pop nothing more nothing less. This is the kind of pop album singers out there would die to have as their own.
The good thing in this record is that the production was so good that her voice wasn’t drowned with the instruments. This is a good album to remind that Hillary may not have diva voice like that of Mariah, Whitney, and Celine but she has the same passion in terms of vocal quality. You can feel the emotions that she wants to convey in her songs.
There are several good tracks in this record such as “Belong, Rebel Hearts, Night Like This, Spark, Breathe In Breathe Out, Picture This, Confetti, Lies, Around A Memory, and Tattoo.” With good number of good songs in this album, I rate this record 3.5 stars out of 5 stars.
1 star = Ignore it
2 stars= risk it
3 stars = borrow or buy it
4 stars = buy it and keep it
5 = buy, keep, and treasure it
