ARTIST                                  :           ERIC CLAPTON

GENRE                                  :           ROCK/ BLUES/POP

DATE RELEASED               :           2015

It is hard to ignore Eric Clapton’s contribution to the world of music. He is not only one of the most prolific and awarded (19 Grammys), but he is one of those rare musical genius modern music has ever encountered.  It is quite difficult to review a greatest hits album especially if it came from an artist as great as Eric Clapton. This greatest hits album will remind you of the old days where artists produce greatest hits package not albums.  It simply means that the artist will give their fans something they haven’t owned.

In this case, Eric delivered not just one greatest hits collection but a 3 CD package which includes audio recordings of his greatest live performances and a collection of blues music which included reworking of some of his greatest hits into blues music.  As a result, listeners will have one of the greatest treats ever received from one of the greatest artists in modern rock era.  In this collection, fans and non –fans alike will be treated with Mr. Clapton’s musical genius singing not only his bestselling songs like “Tears In Heaven,” but also his musical artistry singing “Layla” and “Father’s Eyes.”

You can never ask for more in this latest set release from Clapton.  I rate this collection 4 stars out of 5 stars.
