ALBUM REVIEW               :           SUMMER SAMPLER

ARTIST                                  :           RICH HOMIE QUAN

GENRE                                  :           RAP / HIP HOP

DATE RELEASED               :           2015

If you want a rap album that is easy to your ears, then you just stumbled on the right rap record you might want to hear.  One of the probable reasons why this album is okay to listen to, can be attributed to the fact that it only contains six songs.  Unlike other similar records where it has more than 15 songs, this album will not bore you with a lot of nigga songs.

The words used in some of the songs somehow makes you feel that the artist is white and only the musical background is hip hop or rap; think of Eminem.  “Flex” is one good song that will teach other singers how to use or rap the words”oh oh oh oh.”  In “Take My Hand,” you have a song that combines rawness of rap and good melody.  With that, you will not get distracted when you hear several “nigga” words uttered in the whole song.

The rest of the songs in this 6 song album are just reconstruction of the songs reviewed above.  With that, I rate this record 3 stars out of 5 stars just for being not difficult to listen to.

Ratings Description:

1 star = Ignore it

2 stars= risk it

3 stars = borrow or buy it

4 stars = buy it and keep it

5 = buy, keep, and treasure it
