ALBUM REVIEW               :           FOREVER

ARTIST                                  :           ALESSO

GENRE                                  :           EDM

DATE RELEASED               :           2015

It is quite for listeners to fall in love with an EDM album in just first listen.  Very often, the forward button is the most helpful part of your player when you listen to this kind of music especially if you find the music too generic or too boring that you heard it before many times.  Fortunately, these kinds of assumptions are not so dominant in this record.  Yes, some are songs in this record are generic, some have musical background that you heard before however, many of the songs are quite delightful to listen.

While you may not fall in love instantly with some of the good songs in here, rest assured that you will not regret buying this record.  First, Alesso just program the music evenly with vocals not being drowned with EDM instruments. Second, many of the songs here have melodies; he did not just created sounds, he created melodies.  Third, he was so good in selecting vocal performers in some of his songs.  These singers have voices that really fit EDM music as a result this album does not have a feel of being just a remix album of older music.

Great tunes to listen here are “If I Lose Myself,” “All This Love,” “Cool,” “Sweet Escape,” “Heroes,” and “Tear The Roof Up.” With that, I say this EDM album is worth your time downloading and listening especially during long driving.  I rate this record 3.5 stars out of 5 stars.
