With “All About The Bass” abusing radio listeners, the expectation for her to produce an album that contain solid hits like this song is so huge. Thus, it when you listen to the whole album, you just experience unique experience of listening to a record full of radio friendly songs. Meghan did not pretend that she has wider artistic tendencies than her contemporaries. She just delivered pure delightful pop album that showcase somehow her inner maturity and strength as a pop artist.

In this record, she is not afraid to experiment thus, the whole album might be considered as bubblegum pop, there are other interesting tunes as well. The carrier track “Title” reminds you clever lyrics in the song “That Thing” by Lauryn Hill. The Motown sound enhances the song in the same manner Lauryn Hill did with her own song. In “Dear Future Husband,” you have her singing as if Amy Winehouse is still alive. You have reggaeton in “Mr. Almost.” You have her trying to provide another anthemic song in “Lips Are Movin.” The song is interesting as it is about two timing guy and she presented her ideas in an upbeat manner. There is no need to review “All About The Bass,” as it was such a huge hit.

With that, I rate this record 3.5 stars. Now that she has proven that she can deliver the stuff, it is time to show her artistic side on her next record.

Ratings Description:
1 star = Ignore it
2 stars= risk it
3 stars = borrow or buy it
4 stars = buy it and keep it
5 = buy, keep, and treasure it
