It Should Have Been 4.0 Not 3.0!!!

ALBUM REVIEW            :       3.0

ARTIST                           :       MARC ANTHONY

GENRE                            :       SALSA / LATIN

DATE OF RELEASED      :       2013

After several years in dabbling with English pop songs, Marc Anthony returned to what he does best; Latin salsa.  Thus, it is good news when lots of his fans were expecting too much in this record.  Fortunately, he delivered the goods.  There are several good things that you can say in this record and one of it is that, Marc Anthony did not actually left this genre; he only did English salsa for a while.

In this record, he did not only reminded everyone that he is the King of Salsa but he showed to lovers of Latin salsa that he still got it when it comes to singing passionate and romantic songs. He still can entice listeners to dance to his beat without even trying.  There are several songs in this record that even while you are sitting while listening to this album, you will certainly imagine yourselves swaying your hips and do some salsa steps.

After listening to the whole album, you will be convinced that he did not leave Latin music, the magic is still there.  The best songs in this record are; “Vivir Mi Vida” which is quite anthemic musically, “Flor Palida,” “Cambio del Piel,” which is the sexiest song in this record, “La Copa Rota,” which has a nice intro and good Spanish guitar picking throughout the song, and “Dime Si Es No Verdad,” while a good salsa dance music, is surprisingly a very relaxing tune to listen to.

If you haven’t listened to any of his records, I suggest you start with this album.  I rate this record 4 stars out 5 stars.

Ratings Description:

1 star = Ignore it

2 stars= risk it

3 stars = borrow or buy it

4 stars = buy it and keep it

5 = buy, keep, and treasure it
