ALBUM REVIEW           :        HUMAN

ARTIST                         :        THREE DAYS GRACE

GENRE                           :        ROCK

DATE OF RELEASED    :        2015

If this is your first time to listen to Three Days Grace, you might conclude that the lead singer in this band is Eminem.  There is indeed an uncanny resemblance in terms of vocal quality the moment you hear the first song in this record “Human Race.”  Fortunately, the similarity ended in the first song, and you have a Linkin Park type of song in “Painkillers.”  The vocal delivery is so good that you feel that the lead vocal is making the lyrics of this song his own brand of analgesic.

If this is not the first time you listen to this band, you are fully aware that nothing has change in terms of musical style.  The band played it safely by doing stuff they are familiar with; some angry lyrics, some feel good words, some electrifying guitar works, heavy on drums rock music, some wailing and yelling with little bit of emotions spiced in between refrains.

While this is just a usual album for them, musically you can feel that there is huge improvement when it comes to delivering good music.  In their last albums, you can only count few listenable tracks while in this record, each song has its own charms especially “One Too Many.”  You cannot help but finish the whole album.

I rate this record 3.5 stars out of 5 stars.
