While this album has the usual ingredients on a country album, there are few surprises in this record. For example, the song “Beaching” is quite unusual for a title of a country song; one expects desert, canyon, or trail words in the title. This is a wonderful, vibrant, and light song.  It feels like a soundtrack for an advertisement. Do not expect a party song in “Life of The Party.”  The vocal performance is quite ironic as if he is delivering a eulogy, that’s how sad his voice in this song.

Other than these two surprises, the remaining songs are standard country songs like song about being tipsy, a love lost ballad, driving song and finding one self, and ode to state like Alabama. The two surprises though are not enough reason to buy the album, just the same I give 2 stars for this record out of 5 stars.
